Opportunity for stenographer recruitment in the Mumbai High Court; Recruitment for 'so many' positions

(Recruitment News) Good news for those aspiring to make a career in the judiciary! Recruitment for the position of Stenographer has been announced in the Bombay High Court. The application process started on October 27, 2025, and online applications can be submitted until November 10, 2025. The official website for applications is bombayhighcourt.nic.in. A total of 12 positions will be filled in this recruitment.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates must have a degree from a recognized university. A speed of 100 words per minute in English shorthand and 40 words per minute in typing is required. Passing the GCC-TBC exam (MSCE) is mandatory. Preference will be given to those with a law degree.

Age Limit and Salary:

Minimum age is 21 years and maximum is 43 years, with relaxation for reserved categories. Selected candidates will receive a salary of 56,100 to 1,77,500 along with other government allowances. The application fee is 1,000.

Selection Process:

The examination will be conducted in three stages –

1. Shorthand Test (Dictation and Transcription)

2. Typing Test

3. Interview

Final selection will be based on the marks obtained in these three stages.
