Mumbai Metro : Relief news for Mumbaikars! The path for Dahisar–Bhayander Metro-9 is clear
A major piece of comforting news has emerged for Mumbaikars. The inauguration of the Metro-9 line running between Dahisar and Mira-Bhayandar has finally been cleared. The final CMRS (Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety) certificate has been received for the first phase from Dahisar to Kashigaon of the Metro-9 line in Mumbai. Therefore, there is now no obstacle to the operation of the first phase of this metro line.
The important thing is that the first phase of Metro-9 is likely to start in February. After receiving the final approval from CMRS, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has cleared the way for the inauguration of the metro. As soon as an auspicious time is decided for the inauguration, the first phase of the Mandale to D.N. Nagar Metro-2B line will also be started along with Metro-9.
Considering the growing population and serious traffic issues in the Dahisar to Mira-Bhayander area, the Metro-9 project is considered extremely important. Currently, citizens have to face massive traffic congestion on the Western Express Highway and Link Road. Once the metro starts, it will provide great relief to the commuters in this area and significantly reduce travel time.
After the first phase from Dahisar to Kashigaon is operational, citizens of Mira-Bhayandar will have access to fast and safe travel directly to Mumbai. This will greatly benefit daily commuters, the working class, students, and professionals. Additionally, with the boost to public transport, the use of private vehicles is expected to decrease, potentially reducing pollution.
According to MMRDA officials, the final certificate has been issued only after all safety tests were completed by CMRS. Therefore, it is expressed with confidence that this metro route is completely safe from the perspective of passenger safety. After the start of Metro-9 in February, the transportation system in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region will receive a new direction.
