Republic Day 2026 : Enthusiastic preparations are underway across the country for the 77th Republic Day. On January 26, 1950, the Indian Constitution came into effect and India embarked on a new journey as a democratic republic. This historic day is commemorated every year as Republic Day.
This year's ceremony is going to be special with a grand parade on the Kartavya Path in New Delhi. The parade will showcase India's culture, military strength, scientific progress, and a glimpse of self-reliant India. The parade will begin at 9:30 AM in the presence of President Droupadi Murmu, while the gates for citizens will open at 7:30 AM.
This time, the Indian Air Force will present thrilling maneuvers in the sky. In the air show based on the concept of 'Operation Sindhur', modern fighter jets like Rafale, Sukhoi-30, Mig-29, and Jaguar will participate. This exhibition will showcase the strength and technology of India's Air Force to the world. For this year's Republic Day ceremony, European Council President Antonio Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will be present as distinguished guests.
