Gold and silver prices were seen trading with an increase. Silver prices recorded a rise of ₹12,000, while gold prices also increased by more than ₹2,100. For April delivery, gold reached around ₹157,600 per 10 grams, while silver was trading at ₹261,704 per kilogram for March delivery. However, in the first 45 minutes after the market opened, a slight decline in prices was observed. The increase in gold was limited to around ₹1,950, while the increase in silver stabilized between ₹9,600 and ₹11,800. By 10:30 AM, gold was trading at ₹157,260 and silver at ₹261,709 on MCX.

According to experts, although there is currently an increase in rates, gold and silver are still cheaper than their recent highs. Therefore, from a long-term investment perspective, this is still considered a good opportunity. Last week, gold became cheaper by about ₹4,000 per 10 grams, which means a drop of nearly 2.5 percent. Silver saw an even bigger decline, with prices falling by about ₹65,000 per kilogram, or 11 percent. International market developments are also having a direct impact on this. A 0.20 percent drop in the US dollar index has supported gold prices. Additionally, expectations of future interest rate cuts by the US Federal Reserve are also leading to increased investment in precious metals.

The price of spot gold in the international market has increased by 3.9 percent to 84,954.92 rupees per ounce. Similarly, spot silver has also risen by 8.6 percent, reaching the level of 77.33 dollars per ounce. Although there has been some volatility over the week, long-term investors seem to be turning back to gold and silver. Meanwhile, experts have advised investors to remain patient. It is being suggested that instead of making a lump sum investment in a volatile market, buying in stages can be safer and more profitable.
