Guardian Minister Sanjay Shirsat Claims 10 kg of Gold Looted in Ladda Bungalow Robbery
The daring robbery at the Ladda Bungalow, located in an elite colony of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, has taken a shocking turn. Guardian Minister Sanjay Shirsat made a serious claim on Thursday, alleging that as much as 10 kg of gold may have been stolen—far exceeding the earlier estimate of 5.5 kg.
Speaking at a press conference, Minister Shirsat stated, “So far, the police have recovered only 32 tolas of gold, and a thorough investigation is still underway to determine the total amount of valuables stolen.” He stressed the urgency for speeding up the investigation, expressing concerns over the efficiency of the current police probe.
“It is worrying that such a large quantity of valuables remains unrecovered. A detailed and transparent investigation is imperative,” said Shirsat.
Doubts Cast on Police Encounter and Investigation Integrity
Further complicating the case is the controversial police encounter that followed the robbery. Questions have been raised about the circumstances of the encounter and whether it was influenced by hidden motives or external pressure. One of the deceased suspects reportedly had 10 prior criminal cases, while the second had cases registered in Ambajogai.
Commenting on this, Shirsat noted, “This wasn’t the first carjacking-related incident. The police took action in the name of protection, but it’s also important to investigate whether any decisions were taken under pressure or with vested interests.”
More Arrests Expected; No Tolerance for Police Involvement
Following a meeting with the Police Commissioner, Shirsat revealed that the police have now shifted into active mode, and further arrests are expected soon. He added, “If any police personnel are found involved in this robbery, strict action will be taken without hesitation.”
This remark has brought the spotlight back on potential internal collusion within the system, sparking wider discussions on accountability and transparency within the police force.
