Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) fast bowler Yash Dayal finds himself at the center of a major controversy during IPL 2025, after a woman filed serious allegations against him, accusing him of mental, physical, and financial exploitation under the pretext of marriage.
An FIR has been registered against Dayal under Section 69 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), a non-bailable offence, following a formal complaint filed with the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister's Office as well. The legal troubles for the cricketer seem to be escalating.
According to sources, the woman has also submitted screenshots of WhatsApp chats, video call recordings, and photographs involving Yash Dayal as part of her evidence. After her medical examination, her official statement is scheduled to be recorded by the authorities. If the allegations are substantiated based on the evidence provided, Yash Dayal could face a prison sentence of up to 10 years under the applicable sections of the IPC.
