Currently, it is observed that there are continuous changes in the weather across the country. After severe cold, there was a sudden change in the atmosphere, and on the very first day of the year, rain made its presence felt in many parts of the state. Due to the rapidly changing weather, an atmosphere of concern has been created among the citizens, and it is predicted that the cold will increase further in the coming days.
According to the meteorological department, cold waves are coming from the north towards the state, resulting in a significant drop in minimum temperatures. The intensity of the cold has increased over the past two days, and there is a possibility of a cold wave in the state in the next two to three days. An alert for unseasonal rain has also been issued in some areas, and both farmers and citizens are confused as the rain has not retreated even though January has started.
The lowest minimum temperature in the state was recorded at Jalgaon, where it was 9.1 degrees Celsius. Following that, Dhule recorded 9.6 degrees Celsius, and Jeur recorded 10 degrees Celsius. The direct impact of increasing air pollution is evident on the health of citizens. There has been a significant rise in complaints of cold, fever, cough, difficulty in breathing, and throat pain. Against this backdrop, the Indian Meteorological Department has advised citizens to take necessary precautions. It has been specifically urged to go out only with a mask, and those with asthma or other respiratory diseases should not go out without a mask.
The cold wave is intensifying in North India as well.
