As the preparations for Republic Day in the country gain momentum, a serious warning has been issued by intelligence agencies about the threat of a terrorist attack on India. Information has emerged that a major conspiracy is being hatched against India from across the border in the backdrop of the Republic Day parade to be held in the capital, Delhi, on January 26. Therefore, a high alert has been issued in Delhi and the NCR region, and security agencies are fully prepared.

According to intelligence sources, some Khalistani supporters and terrorist organizations in Pakistan and Canada are using local criminals in the country instead of directly infiltrating India. These criminals are working as 'hybrid foot soldiers' and are said to be lying low like sleeper cells, waiting for the right opportunity. There is a fear that through this medium, a plot is being hatched to target the capital Delhi, NCR, and other major cities in the country.

It has come to light that these gangsters are involved in activities such as arms trafficking, intelligence gathering, and logistics supply. In return, they are provided with advanced weapons, financial aid, and logistical support from across the border, according to intelligence agencies. Particularly, some gangsters from Punjab are being used as pawns, and these criminals are said to be active in Haryana, Delhi NCR, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan.

In the backdrop of this potential threat, strict security arrangements have been deployed in the capital Delhi. Additional police and paramilitary forces have been deployed at Delhi metro stations, Kashmiri Gate, bus stations, railway stations, markets, and crowded places. Suspicious individuals, vehicles, and items are being closely monitored, and inspection campaigns are underway at various locations. Mock drills are being conducted in sensitive areas like Red Fort, Chandni Chowk, and others to practice how to respond in emergency situations. Surveillance has been increased with the help of drones, CCTV cameras, and technical equipment.

The administration has also appealed to citizens to remain alert. Instructions have been given to immediately inform the police or nearby security agencies if any suspicious bag, item, or person is found. All systems are ready to ensure that Republic Day is conducted peacefully and safely, and strict measures are being taken to prevent any untoward incidents.
