Sharad Pawar : Sharad Pawar attacks Mahayuti over election economics...
Senior leader of the Nationalist Party, Sharad Pawar, has made a significant statement. The campaign for the municipal and city council elections in local self-government bodies has reached its final stage. In the state, leaders of the Grand Alliance have been holding a series of meetings. Among them, from Ajit Pawar to BJP and Shinde Sena leaders, they are repeatedly mentioning development funds. They are directly appealing to elect their candidate if development funds are desired. Sharad Pawar has strongly criticized this.
In the election, votes are being asked for money and funds instead of work. There is competition over how much money to give. Groups have formed in various places for the local self-government elections. Asking for votes based on money and funds is not a good thing, Sharad Pawar strongly remarked. In this election, a faction from one party is going with another party. For the first time, groups are being seen in many places. This clearly means that there is no unity in this election. In the Panchayat Committee and local self-government elections, voters will deliver the right result they want. Earlier, people like us did not make such attempts, and we will not do so now. Only a few days are left for voting; let's see what happens, said Sharad Pawar.
Temporary relief for farmers
Heavy rains caused significant losses to farmers. Some lost their land due to flooding. Those who suffered major losses needed some form of financial assistance from the government. Now, the state government has decided to suspend loan recovery from farmers for one year. Sharad Pawar said this is a temporary relief. The financial losses suffered by farmers should have been compensated by the government to some extent. He added that if some interest had been waived and loan installments had been rescheduled, it would have helped farmers more. He expressed a clear opinion that the current aid does not seem sufficient.
