Chandrashekhar Bawankule: Political Stir Over Shiv Sena Ministers' Absence, Bawankule's Clarification
Scroll down to read the news in brief...
There has been a stir in politics after information emerged that some ministers of the Shiv Sena in the grand alliance government in the state are dissatisfied. The absence of most Shiv Sena ministers from the state cabinet meeting has sparked discussions about growing differences within the alliance. Political tensions have risen significantly due to indications of unrest among Shiv Sena ministers over fund allocation and recent defections.
Reacting to the entire incident, BJP minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule stated that the absence was not due to dissatisfaction. He said, “No minister is dissatisfied. Today, Eknath Shinde was present at the meeting. As the scrutiny of applications for local self-government elections is underway, many ministers from the cabinet had gone to their respective districts in charge. All this happened with the Chief Minister's permission, and the absence from the meeting was not due to dissatisfaction but due to election-related work.”
Recently, there were reports of dissatisfaction due to many leaders within the grand alliance joining each other's parties. Speaking on this issue, Bawankule said, “It was decided not to allow entry into each other's parties, but due to some unavoidable circumstances, some people moved from BJP to Shiv Sena, from Shiv Sena to NCP, and some came to us. Therefore, there is a possibility that some discontent may have arisen.”
He further said that the leaders of all three parties will soon discuss and make a decision on all these developments. He acknowledged that there might have been some dissatisfaction due to the party switches, but that was not the reason for today's meeting absence. Due to these movements by Shiv Sena ministers, a question mark has once again arisen over the unity within the grand alliance, and major developments may occur in the coming period.
