According to the information provided by Uran police, both the victim girl and the accused boy have dropped out of their education. They met on Instagram in January 2024, and a romantic relationship developed thereafter. When the girl's parents learned about this, they met with the boy's family. At that time, the boy expressed his desire to marry, and the girl's parents also showed readiness to arrange the marriage once she reached the appropriate age. Until then, the girl was kept at the boy's house. However, after the girl became pregnant, the boy and his family refused to marry her and expelled her from the house.

Based on the complaint of the victim girl, the police have registered a case of rape and under the POCSO Act against the minor boy.
