Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Municipal Corporation: Special Festival Gift to Employees on Occasion of Bhim Jayanti After Eid
In a generous move coinciding with Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar's birth anniversary, the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Municipal Corporation has announced a special festival gift for its employees. Following a similar gesture during Eid, this initiative is aimed at recognizing the dedication of municipal staff and boosting morale during the festive season.
As part of this initiative, the corporation will distribute festival advances of ₹12,500 each to 1,699 employees, totaling approximately ₹2.12 crore. The announcement was made by Chief Accounting and Finance Officer Santosh Wahule, who also confirmed that March salaries have been disbursed on time.
Despite stricter discipline enforcement following a circular issued on January 31, Municipal Commissioner G. Srikanth has offered some relief to employees. Specifically, certain rules were relaxed for the month of March to ease the transition and address staff concerns.
Eid Advance Set the Precedent
Earlier, during Eid celebrations, the corporation had provided a festival advance of ₹45.25 lakhs to 362 employees. That gesture was warmly received and brought smiles to the faces of many during the festive season. The continuation of such financial support has become a symbol of the administration’s positive and employee-friendly approach.
These steps underscore the municipal corporation’s ongoing efforts to appreciate and support its workforce, particularly during culturally significant occasions.
