Weather Update : Monsoon in Winter! Stormy Rain Warning for Upcoming Dates in November
The weather across the country appears to be changing suddenly. While some states are experiencing the onset of winter, in some places the shadow of rain still persists. According to the latest forecast by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), significant fluctuations in the country's weather are expected in the coming days. Notably, a warning of rain with thunderstorms has been issued for parts of Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and central India.
According to the information provided by the Meteorological Department, cyclonic winds persist over the Bay of Bengal at an altitude of about 1.6 to 3.1 kilometers above sea level. This has increased humidity in the atmosphere, creating the possibility of cloudy weather and intermittent showers in some areas. Meanwhile, the temperature has dropped to 14 degrees Celsius in the Nashik, Mahabaleshwar, Niphad, and Washim regions of Maharashtra, causing a chill to be felt. According to weather experts, if this weather persists for another two to three days, the possibility of the temperature dropping further cannot be ruled out.
According to the Indian Meteorological Department's forecast
Light to moderate rain is expected in most parts of Tamil Nadu between November 9 and 12. On November 9, Kerala will experience rain showers with thunderstorms. A cold wave is expected in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh on November 9 and 10. Temperatures are likely to drop further in parts of eastern Rajasthan, Punjab, and Haryana.
What is the weather like in Maharashtra?
The temperature in Mumbai has dropped, and the onset of winter is being felt. Similarly, the minimum temperatures recorded are 13.4 degrees Celsius in Nashik, 18 in Sangli, 10 in Jalgaon, 13.5 in Beed, and 14.4 in Parbhani. The weather department has also warned that the cold will intensify in North Maharashtra, Vidarbha, and Marathwada in the coming week.
This year, instead of experiencing cold weather immediately after Diwali, rain has returned in many places. Typically, during this period, the air is dry and cool, but this year the situation has reversed. Even in the first week of November, there was light to moderate rain in many districts. According to experts, the main reasons behind these uncertain weather changes are the cyclonic winds in the Bay of Bengal and the moisture currents from the south.
The rain clouds have not completely disappeared from the country yet, so the threat of rain remains in some states. The meteorological department has issued a warning to citizens, stating that dangerous weather conditions may develop in the next 48 hours. Therefore, farmers, travelers, and citizens in coastal areas are urged to pay attention to the updated instructions from the meteorological department.
