Suresh Dhas's Statement after Dhananjay Munde's Resignation; Political Turmoil
There has been a stir again in Maharashtra politics after the Santosh Deshmukh murder case in Beed district. In this case, former minister Dhananjay Munde had to resign from his ministerial post. While the investigation agencies are still working, new discussions have arisen due to the statement made by BJP MLA Suresh Dhas from Ashti-Patoda. Without naming anyone, he indirectly criticized Munde by saying that a "wicket" of a big leader has fallen.
At Chikhali, Suresh Dhas was given a grand welcome at the event held for the fulfillment of vows to Goddess Lakshmi. In the speech following the procession taken out in a bullock cart, he mentioned the Santosh Deshmukh case. He claimed to have presented this issue in the very first session in Nagpur and secured justice. He clearly stated that a major leader was “clean bowled” in this matter.
In his speech, Dhas referred to the thoughts of Phule, Shahu, and Ambedkar, and raised questions on the announcements being made today. He said that those who shout "Zindabad" should be mindful of which leader's name they take. He also took a jab at leaders who puff out their chests or focus on external appearances, stating that such leaders do not last long in the legislative assembly.
While mentioning his own political journey, Suresh Dhas noted that he became a legislator due to the trust of the people. He said that despite not having a factory or institution, he is a true emperor because of the love shown by the people. After this statement, discussions have once again arisen in the state's political environment.
