Asia Cup 2025: Curtain Rises on India's New Jersey, Major Change After 23 Years
Asia Cup 2025 : The new jersey for Team India for the T-20 Asia Cup 2025 has finally been revealed to the fans. With a few days left for the tournament, Indian player Shivam Dube has posted some pictures on social media wearing the new jersey during a photoshoot.
This is the same jersey that the Indian team used in last year's T-20 World Cup. However, the biggest change this time is that there is no sponsor logo on the jersey. Only the BCCI emblem, the official Asia Cup logo, and India's name are visible on it. As a result, after 23 years, the Indian team is entering a major tournament without any sponsors. This last happened in 2002.
After the contract with Dream-11 ended, BCCI has started the tender process to find a new sponsor. The deadline for this is set for September 16. Additionally, there is a condition that any new sponsor should not be related to online gaming, betting, or gambling.
Meanwhile, although India is the host of the Asia Cup 2025, the tournament is being organized in the UAE due to political tensions. India is included in Group 'A', which also consists of Pakistan, UAE, and Oman. India will play its first match against the UAE on September 10.
