In most parts of Maharashtra, there was a sudden increase in temperature over the past few days, and as a result, the cold seemed to have disappeared from the state. However, once again, the cold is gaining strength, and a further drop in minimum temperature is being observed. According to the weather department's observations, the mercury has started to fall again in the state, and in areas like Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, and Konkan, a chill is being felt late at night and early in the morning.

In the state, in Marathwada and eastern Vidarbha, a further drop in temperature will begin in the next 24 hours. In Nagpur, the temperature was observed to have dropped to 8.5 degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours, marking the lowest temperature of the season. This clearly indicates an increase in the cold in Nagpur. Weather experts have warned of a further drop of 2°C in the new week.

Yellow alert for cold wave....

The weather department has issued a yellow alert for cold wave in the eastern Vidarbha regions of Wardha, Bhandara, and Gondia. This cold wave is also expected to make its presence felt in other parts of the state. Fog is expected during the day in the hilly areas, which will affect visibility, so authorities have urged citizens to be cautious while traveling through winding roads.

What is the situation in Konkan?

In some parts of Konkan, due to the coastal area, heat will be felt in the afternoon due to humidity. However, at night, the air will become cold, and this condition will persist until dawn. The maximum temperature here is expected to remain between 32 to 33 degrees Celsius.

Weather forecast in the country...
