There have been attacks outside the paramilitary headquarters before as well. Earlier this year, a bomb exploded near the paramilitary office in Quetta. At least 10 people were killed in this explosion. Many were injured. There is currently a high level of tension in Pakistan. On September 3, a suicide attack occurred at a political rally in Quetta.
