In a major breakthrough, the police have successfully arrested a highly educated youth who had been making threatening calls to Chhagan Bhujbal, the former minister and sitting MLA. The accused had been posing as an officer from the Income Tax Department and threatening Bhujbal’s personal assistant.

The incident came to light when Bhujbal's personal assistant began receiving repeated threatening calls from an unknown number. The caller falsely claimed to be from the Income Tax Department and threatened to conduct a raid on Bhujbal’s farmhouse in Trimbakeshwar. The caller also demanded a sum of Rs 1 crore in exchange for halting the raid.

Upon receiving the complaint from Bhujbal’s personal assistant, the police initiated a swift investigation. They successfully laid a trap to apprehend the accused, whose identity remained unknown until the arrest. In a shocking revelation, it was discovered that the individual behind the threats is highly educated, making the case all the more intriguing.

Following the arrest, the police are now investigating the motives behind the threat and whether there are any further connections or individuals involved in this extortion attempt.
