A severe commotion was witnessed today at the board meeting of the ST Co-operative Bank in Mumbai. There was open scuffling, abuse, and freestyle fighting between the supporters of the Gunaratna Sadavarte group and the Shinde group (Adsul panel). This incident has cast a shadow over the bank's meeting with the stigma of a brawl. Now, this matter has reached the Nagpada police station, and both groups have filed complaints against each other.

The bank, once known for its reputation, now a center of controversy?

The ST Co-operative Bank, once renowned as the largest cooperative bank in Asia built on the hard-earned money of ST employees, is currently facing numerous serious allegations against its management, and its image has been tarnished by continuous controversial incidents.

What exactly happened in today's meeting?

According to the information received, both the Sadavarte and Adsul groups were fully present at the board of directors meeting held this morning. Some directors from the Sadavarte group attempted to present evidence of alleged corruption in the bank against the Adsul group. This led to a heated atmosphere, escalating to a brawl.

According to witnesses, the Sadavarte group called in people from outside, who then attacked members of the Adsul group. During this scuffle, some members' clothes were torn, there was abusive language, and they were severely beaten with kicks and punches. There are also allegations of obscene comments being made towards women.

Insult to women, accusation of breaking mangalsutra

A female member from the Adsul group stated that some members from the opposing group made obscene remarks towards their female colleagues, made casteist statements, and even broke a woman's mangalsutra. This disrespectful behavior sparked an angry reaction and caused a commotion, according to the member.

Adsul's Allegation: "Sadvate Group Committed Corruption"

Former MP Anandrao Adsul made serious allegations while reacting to this matter. "The Sadvate group has committed large-scale corruption in the bank. 52 crore rupees were approved for software worth 12 crores, resulting in malpractice. Also, the recruitment of 125 employees was done by taking bribes," he said. We have provided all this information to the police, and everything is clearly visible in the CCTV footage, he stated.

Complaints filed by both groups at the police station

The Nagpada police are currently investigating this case, and statements are being recorded from individuals related to both groups. It has also come to light that five to six members have been injured. There is a significant difference between the former glory of the ST Cooperative Bank and its current controversial situation. The unconstitutional behavior of the directors has raised questions about the bank's operations. The entire case is now with the police, and the real culprits will be identified after further investigation. However, raising questions about the safety of this institution, which runs on workers' money, is considered a very serious matter.
