Delhi Acid Attack : The issue of women's safety in Delhi has once again come to the forefront. A 20-year-old woman in Delhi has been attacked with acid. This incident occurred outside Ashok Vihar Lakshmibai College. It emerged from a one-sided love affair. The girl has been seriously injured in this incident and has been admitted to Deep Chand Bandhu Hospital.
What exactly is the case?
A 26-year-old man named Jitendra was stalking the victim, a young woman living in Mukundpur, Delhi. He had been following her for a few days. She was a second-year student at a private institution and was going to college for extra classes. The accused, Jitendra, along with his accomplices named Ishan and Armaan, came on a motorcycle and stopped her. Ishan handed a bottle to Armaan, who then threw acid on her. The young woman raised her hands to cover her face, resulting in severe injuries to both her hands. After this, all three fled the scene.
The victimized young woman was seriously injured. She was then immediately admitted to Deepchand Bandhu Hospital. Jitendra had been stalking the woman for many months. About a month ago, there was a fierce argument between the woman and Jitendra, after which the harassment increased. This has certainly raised the issue of women's safety in Delhi.
