Nitin Gadkari: This year's Lokmanya Tilak National Award Announced for Union Minister Nitin Gadkari
This year's Lokmanya Tilak National Award has been announced for Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. On August 1, on the occasion of Lokmanya Tilak's death anniversary, this award will be presented to Nitin Gadkari for his invaluable contribution to nation-building. The recipient of the Lokmanya Tilak National Award, which started in 1983, for the year 2025 is Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari. This award will be given to him on behalf of the Lokmanya Tilak Memorial Trust (Hind Swarajya Sangh), and the ceremony will take place at Tilak Smarak Mandir on August 1 at 10:30 AM.
Dr. Rohit Tilak, the president of the trust, provided information about this in a press conference. The Lokmanya Tilak National Award will consist of a memento, a certificate of honor, and a cash prize of one lakh rupees. Nitin Gadkari consistently promotes and advocates for indigenous production in vehicle manufacturing through his thoughts and actions. Considering his contribution to the country's development, this year's honor has been awarded to Nitin Gadkari, as clarified by the Lokmanya Tilak Memorial Trust.
Maharashtra's Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, and former Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde will be present at the ceremony, along with Dr. Geetali Tilak, Chancellor of Tilak College and Trustee of Tilak Memorial Trust, and Dr. Pranati Rohit Tilak, Trustee of Tilak College Trust and Tilak Memorial Trust. The first recipient of this award, which started in 1983, was S.M. Joshi. Many dignitaries have received this award so far, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Dr. Manmohan Singh, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Sharad Pawar, Narayan Murthy, and Rahul Kumar Bajaj.
