A mega block will be conducted on Sunday on the Central and Western Railway lines for various engineering and maintenance works. This mega block will affect the local travel of Mumbaikars, and the railway administration has appealed to passengers to check the schedule before leaving home.

On the Central Railway line, the local stop at stations like Curry Road, Chinchpokli, Masjid, and Sandhurst Road will be closed on Sunday. Similarly, there will be no local stop at Vile Parle and Ram Mandir stations on the Western Railway. Therefore, passengers traveling from these stations will have to use alternative stations.

Local trains departing from CSMT between 10:48 AM and 3:45 PM on the down slow line will be diverted to the down fast line between CSMT and Vidyavihar stations. As a result, locals will not stop at some stations on the slow line, passengers should take note of this.

On the Western Railway line, local services will be operated on the fast line between Santacruz and Goregaon stations. Additionally, some locals from Borivali and Andheri will run on the harbor line up to Goregaon, as informed by the railway administration.

Local trains heading towards CSMT from Panvel on the Harbour line will be cancelled between 10:33 AM and 3:49 PM. Similarly, locals heading towards Belapur and Panvel from CSMT will also be cancelled between 9:45 AM and 3:12 PM. This will significantly impact passengers on the Harbour line.

Additionally, on the Trans Harbour line, local services heading towards Thane between 11:02 AM and 3:53 PM and those running from Thane between 10:01 AM and 3:20 PM will be completely shut down. The railway administration has requested passengers to plan their travel considering the changes during the megablock and to avoid unnecessary inconvenience.
