UPSC CSE Prelims Result 2025 : Here's How to Check Civil Services Preliminary Results
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is expected to announce the Civil Services Examination (CSE) Preliminary Result 2025 soon on its official website — upsc.gov.in. It is important to note that the Prelims exam is only a qualifying test. Marks obtained in the Preliminary stage will not be counted in the final merit list, which is based on performance in the Mains exam and Interview.
CSE Prelims 2025: Exam Date and Pattern
The UPSC CSE Prelims 2025 was conducted on May 25, 2025. The exam consisted of two objective-type papers (Multiple Choice Questions), each of two hours’ duration, carrying a maximum of 200 marks.
A negative marking system is in place — for every incorrect answer, one-third (0.33) of the marks allotted to that question will be deducted.

7 for deaf or hard of hearing
10 for locomotor disabilities
9 for multiple disabilities, including deaf-blindness
