US President Donald Trump had announced a 50% tariff on India. Following this, India has taken a big step, giving a major shock to the US. According to Trump's allegations, India buys crude oil from Russia, which is used for Russia's war fund. Because of this, the US has imposed a tariff on India.

Due to these American tariffs, Indian exporters were worried, but now Indian exporters have redirected their goods to China instead of the American market. Chinese Ambassador Xu Feihong said that China welcomes Indian goods and is ready to assist India.

As a result, in the first six months of 2025-26, India's exports to China have increased by 22 percent. From April to September 2025, India exported goods worth 8.41 billion dollars to China, which is 22 percent more compared to 6.90 billion dollars in the previous year.

After the U.S. imposed tariffs in August, India's exports to China have increased by 34 percent. India is now mainly exporting oil, petroleum products, telephone sets, and various parts to China, with a 116 percent increase in the export of petroleum products.
