This natural disaster has resulted in some fatalities and many people are missing. The flood situation created after the cloudburst has severely disrupted life. Many tourists and local residents are currently trapped in the area, and rescue operations are underway.

Information has emerged that many tourists from Maharashtra are currently stranded in that area. Particularly, citizens from Pune, Solapur, and Nanded were present in the area at the time of the incident. Additionally, a group of 19 people from the 1990 tenth-grade batch from Avasari Khurd in Ambegaon Taluka, Pune, had departed for tourism to Uttarakhand on August 1. This group includes 8 men and 11 women. The last contact with these tourists was from the Gangotri area. It was noted that some members shared photos and statuses in the morning, but contact has been lost since then. Yesterday, a woman from this group contacted her child by phone and informed that everyone was safe. However, no contact has been possible since then.

It is understood that four young men from Solapur are currently stranded in the Gangotri area. The names of these young men are Vitthal Pujari, Samarth Dasare, Dhanraj Bagale, and Malhari Dhote. By 11 AM, they had contacted their families to inform them of their safety. However, since then, they have lost contact. Solapur district administration is trying to coordinate with the Uttarakhand administration to gather information. According to preliminary information provided by the NDRF, there is currently no reported loss of life concerning individuals from Solapur. Meanwhile, it has been reported that 11 tourists from Nanded district are safe in Kharadi village in Uttarkashi. The Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar's contact office has directly communicated regarding this, providing relief to the relatives of the tourists.
