Union Home Minister Amit Shah expressed happiness over this victory. This historic success is the public's recognition of the development and welfare work done by the grand alliance government in the state. Amit Shah congratulated Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, BJP state president Ravindra Chavan, and all BJP-Shiv Sena workers. He said that this victory of the grand alliance will further strengthen the journey of the state's progress.

In the state, the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance is leading in 29 municipal corporations including BMC, as evident from the election trends.
