Heavy rain : Warning of unseasonal rain in many parts of the country, what is the situation in Maharashtra?
This year, the state has experienced heavy rainfall, with many states across the country being severely affected. Maharashtra too has suffered significant damage due to the rains. Just when it seemed the rain had subsided, there is now a possibility of unseasonal rainfall hitting several states once again. In this context, a high alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department. According to information provided by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), a deep low-pressure area has formed near Malaysia, which is gradually developing into a cyclone. This cyclone is now moving towards the Bay of Bengal, and the department has predicted that in the next one to two days, many parts of the country may experience heavy to extremely heavy rainfall.
The biggest impact of this cyclone is likely to be on the southern states. The IMD has issued a warning of extremely heavy rainfall over the Andaman and Nicobar Islands for the next four days until November 29. Along with the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, and Andhra Pradesh have also been warned of heavy rainfall. In the backdrop of this cyclone, the next 72 hours will be dangerous for the southern states. During this period, winds are expected to blow at a tremendous speed of 65 to 100 km per hour, and a high alert has been issued in this regard.

Meanwhile, along with the states of Tamil Nadu, Andaman, Nicobar Islands, Andhra Pradesh, states like Bihar, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh have also been put on high alert. In North India, the cold is expected to intensify further. The temperature has dropped in Delhi as well, while Maharashtra is likely to experience increased cold. A cold warning has been issued for Western Maharashtra and Marathwada. This year, the country has received more rainfall than average, and this rain has already dealt a heavy blow to farmers. Meanwhile, once again, a major unseasonal weather crisis is looming. Heavy rainfall is expected in many states.
