Zeeshan Siddique Death Threat: Demand of Rs 10 crores from Zeeshan Siddique
Zeeshan Siddiqui, son of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and Baba Siddiqui, has received a death threat via email, police officials said on Monday. According to police, the threatening email stated that "he will be killed 'in the same way' as his father. The sender has also demanded Rs 10 crore from Siddiqui. The sender further said that he will send such emails every six hours."
Meanwhile, Zeeshan Siddiqui, speaking to news agency ANI, claimed that the death threat email he received was sent by D Company and they have demanded a ransom of Rs 10 crore. Zeeshan Siddiqui said, "I received a threat through mail from D Company, as mentioned at the end of the mail, they demanded a ransom of Rs 10 crore. The police have taken the details and recorded the statement. However, our family is upset due to this."
On October 12, 2024, Nationalist Congress Party leader Baba Siddiqui was shot dead by three assailants near his son Zeeshan Siddiqui's office in Nirmal Nagar, Mumbai. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for his murder.
