Gautam started his research and development work in 2021. He started studying how to make ice cream without milk. But how to make this ice cream? He had a challenge. During the lockdown, Gautam Raikar saw an advertisement for vegan millet ice cream. This aroused his curiosity. He had never heard of dairy-free millets ice cream before. So he started searching for ways to make ice cream without milk.
Gautam decided to research a dairy-free ice cream made from millets. He also wanted it to be low in sugar and free of preservatives. But the biggest challenge was that it was important for the dairy ice cream to be smooth and creamy.
Successful attempt:
Gautam chose four types of millets for this. He also experimented with mixing these millets with chocolate, mango and other ingredients. But many of his experiments failed. However, Gautam did not stop trying until 2023. Finally, his efforts were successful. He started selling millets ice cream under the Liki Foods brand. He started using almond and cashew milk in this ice cream.

The price of a 100 ml pack of ice cream prepared by Gautam is Rs 90. The price of a 4 liter pack is Rs 700 to Rs 1300. According to the information given by Gautam, Gautam has said that he earns Rs 2 lakh per month, which is Rs 24 lakh per year.
