(Nashik Tapovan) There is strong opposition from environmentalists to the proposed tree cutting in the Tapovan area of Nashik, as there is a plan to build a Sadhu village in Tapovan for the preparations of the Simhastha Kumbh Mela.
Nearly 1800 trees in Tapovan will need to be cut down for this Sadhu village. Environmentalists oppose this deforestation. Against this backdrop, there is opposition to the proposed tree cutting in Tapovan, while trees have been ordered from Rajmundry in Hyderabad.
It is informed that these trees will arrive around noon today, and 15,000 new 15-foot trees will be planted at various locations in the city, as informed by Minister Girish Mahajan. These trees have been ordered from Rajmundry in Hyderabad.
