A major revision has been made in the 'Chief Minister My Dear Sister' scheme started by the government before the assembly elections. After the verification of applications received since the scheme started, a total of 40 lakh 28 thousand women have been declared ineligible for benefits, and henceforth they will not receive benefits from the scheme.

In this scheme, the benefit for approximately 1.4 million women farmers who were receiving 1500 rupees per month has been reduced to 500 rupees per month. These women are also beneficiaries of the Namo Farmer MahaSanman Fund scheme, hence their benefits have been reduced. According to the scheme's rules, a single woman cannot receive the same benefit from more than one scheme.

This scheme started in the state from July 1, 2024. Applicants were given the benefit uniformly for the first few months. However, after thorough verification, many ineligible beneficiaries were identified. Women with a family annual income exceeding 250,000 rupees have been marked with 'FSC' next to their names. The benefit of the scheme has also been stopped for these women.
