Prakash Ambedkar Shares Five Key Resolutions Honoring Buddha Purnima
As the nation marks Buddha Purnima, the birth anniversary of Lord Gautam Buddha, prominent leader Prakash Ambedkar shared five significant resolutions in honor of the occasion. Observed on the full moon day of the month of Vaishakh, Buddha Purnima is a day of reflection, devotion, and reaffirmation of the path shown by the Enlightened One.
In a tweet posted earlier today, Ambedkar paid tribute not only to Lord Buddha but also to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, who embraced Buddhism as a means of self-liberation and social transformation.
“Today, on Buddha Purnima, we also remember Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, who not only chose the path of self-liberation by embracing Buddhism but also showed the path of respect and equality to crores of people. For Babasaheb, Buddhism was both a scientific path and a revolution against inequality,” Prakash Ambedkar wrote.
Calling on followers to strengthen the Mahabodhi Liberation Movement, he urged fellow Buddhists to commit to the following five resolutions:
I will follow the Buddha's Eightfold Path.
I will adhere to the virtues taught by the Buddha.
I will spread and propagate the principles and teachings of the Buddha and his Dhamma.
I will follow the path of Babasaheb Ambedkar and help propagate his mission.
I will not support or vote for non-Ambedkarite parties.
