(Municipal Corporation Election 2026) All parties are preparing for the municipal elections. Voting for the municipal corporation election will take place on January 15, 2026, and counting will be on January 16, 2026, with elections for 2869 seats.

The election frenzy for 29 municipal corporations in the state has begun. The deadline for withdrawing nominations for the municipal elections has now ended, and today the election symbols and final candidate list will be announced.

From today, candidates' campaign rallies and meetings will begin. In many places, there will be meetings of local leaders and key leaders. Meanwhile, even before the municipal elections, 70 corporators have been elected unopposed.

Among them, the BJP has the highest number of 44 corporators elected unopposed. Meanwhile, 22 corporators from Shiv Sena have been elected. Two from the Nationalist Congress Party, one from the Islamic Party, and one independent candidate have been elected unopposed.
