Ajit Pawar On Ladki Bahin Yojana: Will the beloved sisters receive 3000 rupees or not? Ajit Pawar made a clear disclosure
Amid the backdrop of the 29 municipal corporation elections in Maharashtra, political tension has increased over the installment of the 'Chief Minister My Beloved Sister' scheme. Voting for a total of 29 municipal corporations will take place on January 15, and the results will be announced on January 16.
Currently, while rallies and campaigns are in full swing, the ruling coalition is trying to attract female voters through the beloved sister scheme. However, the government's decision to deposit 3,000 rupees into the bank accounts of beloved sisters for the months of December 2025 and January 2026, just one day before the election on January 14, is likely to fall into regulatory complications.
The Congress and opposition parties have objected to this decision and filed a complaint with the Election Commission. Accordingly, the commission has taken note, and there is talk of issuing instructions to defer the installment due to the possibility of violating the model code of conduct. In this confusing environment, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has come forward to provide clarity. He said that if the Election Commission instructs, the installment of the beloved sister scheme will be postponed. This means that if there is no intervention from the commission, Rs 3,000 will be deposited into the accounts of eligible women on January 14, and the voting process will take place the very next day on January 15.
While various discussions were sparked by the installment of this scheme, Ajit Pawar's statement has somewhat cleared the confusion among the beloved sisters. However, it will be important to see what decision the State Election Commission will make now. This decision could not only affect the amount in women's accounts but also influence the equations in the electoral arena.
