(Ajit Pawar) Large-scale preparations are underway in Nashik for the 2027 Kumbh Mela. For this Kumbh Mela, many saints and monks from across the country come, and for their accommodation, a Sadhu Gram city is set up in Tapovan. In this Kumbh Mela, Sadhu Gram will be built on 1150 acres in the Tapovan area for the saints and monks to stay. For this, 1800 trees will be cut down.
This has sparked a wave of anger among local citizens and environmentalists. Along with Nashik residents and environmentalists, celebrities are also seen opposing this tree cutting. Many artists and politicians are expressing their views on this matter. Actor Sayaji Shinde has extended his support to the fight of the people of Nashik.
Against this backdrop, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has reacted through a tweet. Ajit Pawar said, "A conciliatory solution should be found regarding the tree cutting in Tapovan. The stance taken by actor Mr. Sayaji Shinde in this matter is in the interest of the environment. Along with development, maintaining the balance of the environment is also the need of the hour. Only if the environment is preserved will the next generation remain safe, and this is something we all must remember." said Ajit Pawar.
