(Nagpur) The High Court has directed to arrange shelter for the protesters protesting in the cold. The Nagpur Bench has directed to arrange shelter for the protesters coming to present their demands in the session to protect them from the severe cold, and it is a fundamental right of citizens to protest peacefully for their demands.
Citizens also have the fundamental right to live. The court expressed the opinion that it is the duty and responsibility of the state government to arrange shelter for the protesters under this. The court has taken up a public interest petition in this regard and it is informed that a three-member committee has been appointed to monitor whether shelter is provided or not.
This committee will visit the protest site every day from 4 PM to 7 PM until the end of the session to check if the necessary arrangements are being made for the protesters. They will submit evidence reports on this.
