Bacchu Kadu's Health Worsens On Seventh Day Of Hunger Strike
The indefinite hunger strike led by independent MLA Bacchu Kadu has entered its seventh day, with the spotlight now on a crucial meeting that will determine the future course of the protest.
Bacchu Kadu began his hunger strike at Gurukunj Mozari in Amravati, pressing for 17 major demands, including a complete loan waiver for farmers. The protest, which has been gathering momentum over the past week, has seen growing support from Prahar Jan Shakti Party activists, who have staged demonstrations at various locations across the state.
Amid rising tensions, senior BJP leaders Pankaja Munde and Uday Samant are expected to visit the protest site today. They will convene a meeting with party activists at 12 noon, where a decision is expected on whether to call off the protest or continue with the indefinite hunger strike.
Until then, Bachchu Kadu has urged his supporters to refrain from further agitation, asking them to await the outcome of the discussions.
