The election campaign for municipal corporations in Maharashtra has gained momentum, and political equations have changed in many places due to alliances and coalitions. The party has taken a strict stance by suspending as many as 32 leaders, including Archana Dehankar's husband Vinayak Dehankar, for six years, causing a stir in the city.

This suspension includes former BJP corporators Sunil Agrawal and Dheeraj Chavan. This action was taken for contesting as independents against the party's official candidates, taking tickets from other parties, or supporting rebels. Nagpur BJP President Dayashankar Tiwari issued these orders, making it clear that there is no pardon for indiscipline.

While talking about the action, Dayashankar Tiwari said, "Some people from the Bharatiya Janata Party are contesting as independents, some are contesting on tickets from other parties, and some workers are supporting them. Therefore, action has been taken to suspend 32 people from the entire city. This action has been taken for indiscipline, and they have been suspended from the party for six years." He further said, "BJP is a disciplined party, different from other parties. Indiscipline is not tolerated in our party."

In the municipal elections, many parties are facing rebellion. Although action is being taken against those rebelling due to not getting a ticket, there is a possibility that this may affect the parties during the election period.
