The Mumbai municipal elections are in full swing. This time, for the first time, Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray are coming together, heating up the political atmosphere. Due to this alliance, many aspiring candidates are in a fix, and a major controversy arose from ward number 194. Former MNS corporator Santosh Dhuri was interested in this seat, but it was allocated to Uddhav's party. As a result, there was talk of Dhuri being upset.

Is Santosh Dhuri leaning towards BJP?

Now that Santosh Dhuri has met Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, there is strong speculation that he is on the path to joining BJP. Dhuri held this meeting with Minister Nitesh Rane and local BJP officials. This is considered a major blow to MNS right before the elections. Although there has been no official announcement of joining BJP, it is anticipated that Dhuri will soon become part of the party due to these movements.

Who is Santosh Dhuri?

Santosh Dhuri is a former corporator of Raj Thackeray's Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS). He has a close friendship with MNS Mumbai city president Sandeep Deshpande. Dhuri was always active in every MNS movement. In the last municipal elections, he contested from MNS but faced defeat. In this year's elections, due to the alliance of the Thackeray brothers, Dhuri was eager to contest from ward number 194. Sandeep Deshpande also tried for his ticket, but this seat went to Uddhav Sena in the seat distribution. News had emerged that both were disappointed because of this.

Even after that, Sandeep Deshpande took Dhuri along while distributing AB forms to MNS candidates. Dhuri was also present at Raj Thackeray's rally. Still, his dissatisfaction did not diminish. Finally, it is said that Dhuri has decided to join BJP. After meeting the Chief Minister, his official BJP entry is expected soon. These developments may pose a challenge to the Thackeray alliance.
