The state government has decided to start the 'Chief Minister Prosperous Panchayati Raj Campaign' for village panchayats, panchayat committees, and district councils from the financial year 2025-26. This campaign was approved in the cabinet meeting held yesterday. Local self-government institutions performing excellently at four levels - taluka, district, revenue division, and state level - will be honored.

An annual provision of 290 crore 33 lakh rupees has been made for this campaign. A total of 1902 awards will be given, and this initiative will be conducted from September 17 to December 31, 2025.

For Gram Panchayats:

State level:

First: ₹5 crore

Second: ₹3 crore

Third: ₹2 crore

Division level (18 Gram Panchayats):

₹1 crore, ₹80 lakh, ₹60 lakh respectively

District level (102 Gram Panchayats):

₹50 lakh, ₹30 lakh, ₹20 lakh respectively

Taluka level (1053 Gram Panchayats):

₹15 lakh, ₹12 lakh, ₹8 lakh respectively

Special awards (702): ₹5 lakh each

For Panchayat Committees:

State level:

First: ₹2 crore

Second: ₹1.5 crore

Third: ₹1.25 crore

Division level (18 committees):

₹1 crore, ₹75 lakh, ₹60 lakh respectively

For District Council:

State Level:

First: ₹5 crore

Second: ₹3 crore

Third: ₹2 crore

A 16-member state-level committee will be established under the chairmanship of the Minister of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj for the implementation of this campaign. Evaluation committees will also be active at the taluka, district, and state levels for the campaign. Preparations will start from August 1, and the methodology and schedule have been determined for this.

2. Efficient Administration

3. Water Abundance

4. Cleanliness and Green Village Development

5. Coordination of MGNREGA and other schemes

6. Empowerment of Village-level Institutions

7. Public Participation, Voluntary Labor, and Social Justice

Winners will be selected based on scoring on all these criteria.
