(Congress) Voting for the municipal elections will take place on January 15, 2026, and counting will occur on January 16, 2026, with elections for 2869 seats. Candidate applications will be scrutinized on December 31.
So candidates can withdraw their applications until January 2, 2026. The symbol will be distributed on January 3. Against this backdrop, Congress has announced the names of 40 star campaigners for the municipal elections.
These include Ramesh Chennithala, Harshvardhan Sapkal, Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj, Vijay Wadettiwar, Satej Patil, MP Mukul Wasnik, Nana Patole, Imran Pratapgarhi, Chandrakant Handore, Naseem Khan, Raj Babbar, Yashomati Thakur, MP Praniti Shinde, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Prithviraj Chavan, Sachin Pilot, Balasaheb Thorat, Mohammad Azharuddin,
Rajnitai Patil, Manikrao Thakre, Amin Patel, Dr. Nitin Raut, Sunil Kedar, Amit Deshmukh, Dr. Vishwajit Kadam, Bhai Jagtap, Anis Ahmed, Ramesh Bagwe, MP Husain Dalwai, Sajid Khan Pathan, Kanhaiya Kumar, Jignesh Mevani, Vasant Purke, Muzaffar Husain, M.M.
