Government Extends Crop Inspection Deadline by One Month
In Brief
Major relief for farmers in the state
One-month extension for crop inspection
Orders issued to all district collectors following the instructions of Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule
(Crop Inspection) A major relief decision has been made for the farmers in the state. The deadline for crop inspection for the Kharif season 2025 was ending on September 30. However, the Revenue Department has extended this deadline to October 31, 2025. Orders regarding this have been issued to all district collectors following the instructions of Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule.
In recent weeks, excessive rainfall, floods, and re-sowing have caused significant damage to farmers. The inspection period had been extended by two weeks earlier, yet inspections of fields in many villages remained incomplete. Now, with this new extension, all remaining fields will be registered.
The Revenue Department has given clear instructions that assistant officers will visit the fields for inspection, and the village revenue officer will verify it 100%. The record will be made on the 7/12 extract only after the inspection process is completed. Orders have been given to ensure that no farmer's loss is overlooked.
Most of the time, inspections remain incomplete as farmers are not in the fields or are outside the village. It is expected that if the evaluation of all fields is completed and the report is submitted within this additional month, the compensation process will start more quickly. It is believed that this decision has provided some relief to the farmers.
