Nagpur: ED raids sand traders; action taken for non-cooperation in investigation

(Nagpur) Information is being received that ED has raided sand traders in Nagpur. A raid was conducted on sand traders in Savner, Khapa, and in 2021, Nagpur police filed a case against some sand traders for evading government sand royalty and conducting sand business, and selling sand worth crores of rupees.

In connection with this, the ED had repeatedly summoned the businessmen involved in the sand business for questioning after evading royalties. However, due to non-cooperation in the inquiry, it is reported that ED raids are now underway at various locations in Nagpur district.
