Yavatmal: Sand smuggling in Yavatmal district, what is the revenue department doing, citizens question

For the past month, as the revenue department has been engaged in election duties, sand mafias involved in illegal sand extraction have become quite active. Vehicles involved in the illegal sand business in the district have been speeding.

According to the directives given by Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, there is a need for strict action by the State Transport Authority. Due to the government's sand policy, illegal sand mafias are thriving during the election period in the district.

Notably, even though the Revenue Department has taken strict action against various types of minor minerals in the past few months, the illegal black market of minor minerals continues unabated. There is suspicion that the Revenue Department's action against illegal sand smuggling happening every night is showing favoritism towards some sand transport vehicles.
