(Khadakwasla Dam) The Encroachment Department has taken action on Khadakwasla Dam Chowpatty. Due to this action, unauthorized hotels and stalls in the dam area have been demolished. It is observed that locals have opposed this action by the Pune Municipal Corporation.

Local citizens have come out on the streets to protest against this. It is alleged that only actions are being taken against the handcarts of the poor, while hotel encroachments are not being removed, and police have been deployed at the site.
