After serving Bappa, today the idol of Bappa will be immersed with great pomp. In the chants of 'Ganpati Bappa Morya, come soon next year', Bappa will be bid farewell today. The machinery across the state, including Mumbai and Pune, is seen to be ready for Ganpati Visarjan.

Arrangements for artificial ponds have been made at various places in the city, and the municipality along with the police have made thorough arrangements at the beaches in Mumbai. Today, amidst the beats of drums, Lord Ganesha will be bid farewell with great pomp.
