In the capital Delhi and the surrounding NCR region, a significant change in the weather was once again felt today. Light to moderate rain was observed in many areas, accompanied by thunderstorms. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for today, with the possibility of rain continuing until the evening. Due to this change, cloudy weather persisted throughout the day and temperatures dropped.
According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in Delhi today was expected to be around 27 degrees Celsius and the minimum around 14 degrees Celsius. There was also a possibility of strong winds blowing at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour along with rain. This change occurred due to the influence of a western disturbance, providing relief to the city's residents with sudden clouds and rain. However, waterlogging on the roads and traffic disruptions caused inconvenience.
The weather is expected to clear from tomorrow, February 19. During this period, the temperature will gradually increase and the air will remain clean. The average temperature between February 19 and 22 could be between 12 to 14 degrees, while there is a possibility of further heat increase on February 23. The meteorological department has urged citizens to remain alert, and it is expected that the rain will have a positive impact on agriculture and water supply. It has also been indicated that the weather may change further this week.
