(Nashik) Heavy rain is falling in many places in the state. Significant damage is being observed in many areas, and due to the unseasonal heavy rainfall in Nashik district, a major flood occurred in the Galathi river in Saundane village of Malegaon taluka at midnight, causing the water to directly enter the village, leading to chaos among the villagers.

A young man, Sandeep Bandu Khairnar, aged 22, was swept away along with his motorcycle as he could not gauge the floodwaters while riding. Fortunately, he found support from a tree and remained on it for nearly two hours.

Recognizing the seriousness of the situation, the village head called the fire brigade. Fire brigade personnel arrived at the scene and rescued the young man.
