In a surprising incident amidst growing concerns over law and order in Pune city, Iranian national flags and banners featuring Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei were found displayed in the Loni Kalbhor station area, located on the outskirts of Pune.

Local residents were alarmed upon spotting the foreign flags and banners in a public area, following which they alerted the authorities. The Pune Police responded swiftly, arriving at the location and promptly removing the flex boards and flags.

A preliminary investigation suggests that the banners were installed in connection with a religious gathering, and not as a political statement or in relation to the ongoing Iran-Israel conflict. Event organizers have clarified that the display was part of a cultural observance and had no international or geopolitical implications.

The Pune Police have launched a detailed investigation into the matter to understand the full context and ensure there was no breach of public order or intent to provoke unrest. Officials have urged citizens to remain calm and refrain from spreading rumors.

"We appeal to the public to maintain peace and not fall prey to misunderstandings or misinformation. Appropriate action is being taken as per protocol," a senior police official said.
