(Kolhapur Ambabai Mandir) A large-scale cleaning and maintenance operation has begun at the Karveer Nivasini Shri Ambabai Temple. A team of 25 employees with state-of-the-art equipment will clean the temple premises for 8 days, and notably, on September 17, the sanctum sanctorum of the goddess will be cleaned, and on that day, devotees will not be able to see the original idol. The iSmart Focetic Company from Mumbai has taken the responsibility of cleaning the temple free of charge.
Yesterday, the cleaning team arrived in Kolhapur. In the presence of temple officials and managers, the machinery was worshipped, and the actual work began. All areas from the sanctum sanctorum to the temple premises will be thoroughly cleaned.
In the past one and a half months, devotees have made generous donations at the feet of Ambabai, amounting to a total of 1 crore 56 lakh 84 thousand 533 rupees added to the temple's treasury. The temple administration has clarified that on the day of the sanctum's cleaning, darshan will remain closed. Devotees are requested to take note of this change.
